Carbis Filtration supply a wide range of filter bags, filter bag housings and associated equipment for the liquids processing industries.

Carbis filter bags are available with our welded Polypropylene, Polyester or Santaprene sealing rings, suitability is dependant on your application. Carbis sealing rings are self aligning and give superior positive sealing over steel ring bags. Handles are moulded into the top of the ring, giving operators a secure grip when removing the bag.

Carbis filter bags are interchangeable with all industry standard liquid filter bag housings and are manufactured under strict conditions governed by BS EN ISO 9000:2000 and to food hygiene requirements.

Our Range Includes:

Felt Filter Bags Needle felt bags give depth filtration in a range of 1 to 200 micron, with 60%-70% efficiency. All felts used in the manufacture of our bags are scrim supported and are heat calendered to eliminate fibre migration.
Mesh Filter Bags Mesh filter bags can be manufactured from Nylon, Polyester, and Polypropylene Monofilament mesh, a precision woven thermo fixed structure giving absolute micron ratings with no fibre migration. Micron ratings from 1 to 1500.
Fully Welded Filter Bags Ultrasonically welded seams give 100% integrity, combined with our welded rings, our product gives high efficiency, superior sealing and ease of use whilst remaining cost effective. Welded materials include Polyester, Nylon and Polypropylene felts as well as, Nylon and Polypropylene monofilament meshes.		Fully Welded 'Extended Life' Bag
Extended Life Filter Bags Carbis 'Extended Life' filter bags are available in Polypropylene and Polyester. The extended life filter media permits an increased retention of particles and therefore the filter bag has a lifetime of up to four times that of an equivalent standard felt filter bag. This feature enables a reduction in purchasing costs and minimises equipment downtime and engineer exposure. Carbis 'Extended Life' filter bags offer an all welded construction and are available with our custom designed plastic welded sealing rings.
High Efficiency Absolute Rated Bags The fully welded multi layer construction consists of a pre-filter scrim, a micro fibre filter media and an outer layer giving support and eliminating fibre migration. Carbis high efficiency filter bags are available in absolute micron ratings of 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50 and 100 micron and are manufactured to industry standard sizes. The oil absorbent property of Carbis high efficiency bags makes them particularly useful for decontaminating liquids, for example removing silicones and fluorocarbons from e-coat paints.
Filter Bag Housings Carbis filter bag housings are used in general chemical and processing duties, we offer a versatile range of filter housings starting with the small 'mini' series using 4¼" ring bags right through to the industry standard 7" ring bags in multi pot housings. We offer simple free standing side entry models with Vee clamp closures for economy through to top entry bolted cover designs for maximum security and robustness, the various different designs available will allow you to select exactly the right model for your application, all offer pressure rating up to 10 barg and are electro polished inside and out as standard.
