Wire cloth is a metallic structure obtained by weaving wires together
forming meshes, such wires are known as the warp and the weft. The
warp is formed by wires parallel to the length of the structure
while those parallel to the width form the weft.
An extensive variety of structures can be obtained by different
weaving methods and wire choice, thus offering a wide range wire
mesh of differing characteristics from silk like material to rigid
durable screens.
Carbis Filtration have been involved in weaving, manufacturing
and converting of high quality woven wire cloth and meshes for over
20 years. We have the ability to supply all types of meshes from
the finest micronic cloths to the heaviest pre-crimped screens for
architectural applications and the mining and quarrying industry.
We have capabilities to supply large woven to width screens for
wind tunnel flow straighteners and our specialist looms are capable
of weaving up to a maximum width of 10 meters, with varying mesh
openings and wire configurations.
Woven wire cloth and mesh is a very versatile product and this
allows us to convert it into a multitude of fabricated components
such as extruder screens, rimmed mesh screens, screen packs, multi
layer screens, cylinders, test sieves and pleated elements.
Carbis Filtration can produce wire cloth in any weavable material,
such materials include: Stainless Steel 304, 316, 321, 310, 347
and 430 grades, Brass, Copper, Phosphor Bronze, Monel, Inconel,
Hastelloy and other Nickel alloys.
